Useful energy analysis
Surveys as a basis for calculating useful energy analysis were conducted every 5th to 10th year in the past. To take into account the growing speed of technical development it was decided to conduct this survey at least every 5th year. The latest data available are from the year 2005. By applying this structure to the most actual final energy consumption one can get information on energy consumption purposes and the efficiency.
Assuming that the consumption pattern of 2005 is valid for the year 2009, too, the actual fuel use draws the following picture: 33.5% or 354 474 TJ of the final energy consumption 2009 are used for production purposes, 34.7% or 366 728 TJ for traction and 28.9% or 305 057 TJ for space and water heating. Only 2.9% or 31 012 TJ ran in lightning and computing.
