Households, families and living arrangements
The tables relating to households, families and living arrangements are primarily based on analyses of the annual data of the Austrian Labour Force Survey (also known as micro census). In addition, some time series tables come from the latest Population Censuses.
The Labour Force Survey currently only gives information about private households, whereas the Population Census also includes institutional households. The private households are shown according to various demographic variables such as size of household, type of household, federal province etc. The families are shown according to their varied types of arrangement (couple families, lone-parent families etc.). In addition, tables for children in families are also presented.
