The Regional breakdown section shows
- the administrative units within Austria,
- other selected administrative areas
- and areas broken down by function
in the form of tables and also in graphic form as maps.
The Maps by regional breakdown / Maps by subject area sections contain maps that have been prepared to show selected official statistics. The Maps by regional breakdown section groups maps by regional aspects; the Maps by subject area section shows maps classified by statistical subject areas. Since all the maps are going to be made more user-accessible as part of Statistics Austria's Internet relaunch, a major revision and update of the current range of maps is required. For this reason these menu items will be filled with content on an ongoing basis.
The Austria's towns in figures section gives information about demographic, economic, environmental and social aspects of towns with over 10,000 inhabitants and municipalities (Gemeinden) with 5 000 to 10 000 inhabitants.
The "Municipality in figures" section gives structural data and figures for Austrian municipalities (Gemeinden). A comprehensive comparison of the selected municipality with the corresponding political district or federal province (Land) is provided using tables and graphics.
The national accounts data for the entire economic
sector is also calculated for the federal provinces and the 35 NUTS
